Join IO Interactive's Finance team at our Copenhagen Studio as our new Senior Accountant and play a central role in how we run and grow a multi-studio, multi-entity games company. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across Malmö, Barcelona, Istanbul and Brighton, shaping reliable, scalable processes that keep our studios moving. What you will do:

• Oversee and maintain the general ledger to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Review journal entries to ensure proper documentation and compliance with accounting standards.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and balances are correct.
• Prepare cost analysis reports to support Head Of Finance
• Reconcile all balance sheet accounts (e.g., cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets).
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues related to reconciling accounts.
• Prepare and review bank reconciliations every month.
• Assist with the preparation and filing of various tax returns, including sales tax, VAT
• Respond to auditor queries and assist in addressing audit findings.
• Own day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Maintain adherence to financial controls, policies, and procedures.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the finance team

Who you are:

• 7+ years running GL and full close (monthly/quarterly/year-end) with ownership of AP/AR and payroll in multi-entity, multi-currency setups.
• Strong local GAAP knowledge; EU VAT/indirect tax compliance and filings.
• Expert in overall reconciliations and fast discrepancy resolution.
• Proven audit prep/response experience and a strong internal controls mindset.
• Comfortable in modern ERPs (Unit4) and advanced spreadsheets.
• Meticulous, deadline-reliable, and a clear communicator in English.
• Great at mentoring younger team members and sharing your knowledge and experience.
