What you’ll be doing
As a student assistant, you’ll support our legal team with a mix of administrative and legal tasks, including:
- IP (e.g. trademark protection), licensing, negotiations and actor agreements – assisting with contract review, drafting, and organisation for external talent, including voice actors and music artists
- Contract management – handling signatures, archiving documents, maintaining legal records, and otherwise assisting with documentation
- Regulatory and compliance reviews – conducting legal assessments and providing recommendations on how regulations apply to our projects
- Internal legal communication – translating legal issues into clear guidance for non-legal teams
- Ad hoc legal support – taking on various tasks as needed, giving you broad exposure to legal work in the industry
Who you are
- You’re currently studying for your bachelor’s or master’s in law in Denmark or Sweden – preferably in the early part of your degree
- You’re fluent in English and want to strengthen your ability to communicate legal issues clearly and professionally
- You’re well-organized, dependable, and detail-focused – someone who enjoys getting things right
- You’re proactive and curious – you don’t wait to be told what to do, and you like understanding how things work
- You have an interest in the entertainment industry, especially games, and are eager to see how law plays a role behind the scenes
Why join IO Interactive
This isn’t just a student job – it’s a chance to be part of a global company where legal work has a direct impact on creativity, production, and global collaboration.
At IOI, we manage our own legal landscape in-house. That gives you exposure to a unique mix of business law, contract work, IP protection, licensing, and regulatory compliance – all within a creative and international context. You’ll be part of a small, collaborative legal team and have regular contact with departments across the company, including production, marketing, casting, and audio.
You’ll work 15 hours per week and get a close-up view of how legal work supports everything from cinematic storytelling to international publishing deals. Whether you’re reviewing an actor agreement, helping file a trademark, or advising on compliance issues, your work will make a difference – and give you real-world skills you can take into your legal career.
If you're excited about law, curious about the games industry, and ready to contribute to a global entertainment company, we’d love to hear from you.
