HR Consultant
At IOI, our HR, People & Talent Engagement teams are shaping the next strategic period. Rooted in our people philosophy, we are building the talent and culture fit for the future while elevating our service and operational standards. We are looking for an HR Consultant (Intermediate) to join our Copenhagen studio on a full-time, permanent basis.
As part of this journey, we are transforming the way HR operates, streamlining and automating our core HR processes to create scalable, efficient operations, while increasing our focus and capacity for employee relations, strategic advisory work and high-impact initiatives across IOI. In this role, you will be an active part of that transformation.
Working across the employee lifecycle, you will act as a trusted HR partner to managers, combining employee relations and complex people matters with compliance and cross-IOI HR projects. You will also help us continuously improve how we work, identifying opportunities to simplify, automate and strengthen our HR services as we build the HR function for the future.
As part of our international HR team, you will provide hands-on HR support and advice to employees and managers, while ensuring that our people processes run smoothly and in compliance with Danish employment legislation.
What you will do
Act as a trusted HR advisor to managers, providing practical and confident guidance on employee relations, performance, absence, sickness (incl. appropriate follow-up, documentation and return-to-work), workplace concerns and other people-related matters.
Own and drive HR cases from initial assessment through to resolution, balancing Danish employment law, business needs, employee considerations, and IOI policies and practices, while partnering closely with the HR Manager to ensure a consistent approach and application of HR principles across IOI.
Apply your knowledge of Danish employment law to translate legal requirements into pragmatic advice and solutions for managers and the wider HR team and manage relevant communication and casework with Danish authorities.
Become an HRIS go-to expert (we use Hibob), advising colleagues and managers on effective use of the system and contributing to improvements in HRIS processes, data quality, workflows and ways of working.
Support selected employee lifecycle and operational HR activities, including employment documentation, employee changes, offboarding and payroll inputs. As our HR model evolves, we continuously assess which activities can be automated, centralized or handled differently.
Provide guidance to employees on employment-related matters, including benefits, pension and health insurance, while helping us streamline and automate how this information and support is delivered, enabling greater employee self-service and easy access to the right resources.
Who you are
Minimum 4 years of hands-on HR experience, ideally from an international or multinational organisation.
Strong knowledge of Danish labour laws and regulations.
Proven experience handling employee relations cases, with confidence navigating sensitive and complex HR matters.
Strong understanding of the full employee lifecycle, including where HR expertise and judgment add value and where processes can be simplified, standardised or automated to create a more scalable employee experience.
Confidence working with HRIS platforms and a good understanding of how technology can enable efficient, scalable HR operations. Experience with HiBob is a genuine advantage.
Structured and detail-oriented, while keeping sight of the people behind the processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working in an international and collaborative environment, where priorities can change and no two days are quite the same.
Fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
